Professor Iris Chi, the Chinese-American Golden Age Association/Frances Wu Chair for the Chinese Elderly, and Senior Scientist at Edwards Roybal Institute on Aging, Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, University of Southern California (USC). Prior to joining the USC School of Social Work, she taught at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) for 17 years and she was the founding director of Sau Po Center on Aging at HKU. An expert in health and gerontology, Dr. Chi has participated in more than 115 studies and published more than 400 articles and book chapters. She has been awarded as Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), American Academy of Social Welfare and Social Work (AASWSW), interRAI, the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society of America, and International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG). Dr. Chi is an honorary professor, consultant and advisor to more than 30 local and overseas universities and research institutes. She is also the associate editor and editorial board member for many health, gerontology and social work journals. Recently she has been awarded as “Congressional Woman of the Year”.
